Students from K to 12 were all over the main hall, books from Snow White to English novels piled shelves, banners were all over the place as WSAI, partnered with MRAS, held its first Book Fair for the school year.

The 3-day book fair was held last July 10-12 with the aim of reviving the students’ desire to read.

Activities, such as the “Design-O-Hat” competition, were held for the younger students from Kindergarten to 3rd Graders.

They got to pick their favorite stories and built hats from 100% recycled materials. The Kindergartens made their hats while bonding with their parents.

“I found the activity fun and enriching. It was nice that parents are now given opportunities (actual activities) in helping out their kids in school,” Anna Celina, a participating parent from the kindergarten class said.

The 4th to 6th Graders had their Zygote Book reporting, WSAI’s version of a minor book report. Meanwhile, the high school students had their chance to read various stories for a full blast book report.

Each grade level was given time to read open books in groups, while quality books were offered at affordable prices.
