WSAI—WILL School of Antipolo, Inc. heightened discipline off and on-campus with some amendments to its school policies after previous school year’s observations. Prefect of Discipline, Mr. Cristobal “Ogie” P. Balingit, discussed the addendums during the Code of Discipline (COD) Orientation, June 18, and Parents’ Education Program (PEP), July 6.

New school policies were added along with penalties and offenses.

The new integrations included the use of gadgets off and on-campus. When asked about the intensified policy despite the increasing hype on new-gen gadgets, PD said: “Gadgets divide the attention of the students so if they will have no gadgets in school or even at home, they will remain focused on their studies or little things that they are supposed to do.”

Mr. Balingit highlighted the limits that the students were supposed to have when they’re at home and the zero-tolerance to bringing in gadgets in school unless duly authorized on occasions.

The school policy addendum also included the implementation of the zero-waste policy, formation or association to any sorority or fraternity, and the strict adherence to the dismissal forms duly-accomplished by parents among others.

“Disciplining is basically training the students to be better in the future. Just like we always say, a good leader is a good follower at first. Disciplining is not a form of punishment, but more on giving them the basic tool on how to live a better life,” says Mr. Balingit.

The policy upgrades by the school were brought about by careful studies, observations, and evaluations of the subsequent school policies.

Apart from the orientations held, the parents and students were provided with copies of the updated School Handbook along with the addendums and highlights in school discipline.
