“Far from home” was just a line in the movies for Arellano “Tiger” Cruz when he completed the run at the Soleus Cross Country Challenge 4. The event took place in the challenging terrains of Timberland Heights last July 14.
Tiger, a 4th Grader, may have finished a short course at 3KM kiddie trail but is off to a marathon start.
Mr. Aries Cruz, the father of Tiger, said it is a part of their bonding. In an interview, Mr. Cruz said that he ran not only because it’s healthy, but also because he enjoys it.
This wasn’t the first time Tiger participated in a run. He participated in the 3KM Sandugo Road to Trail Challenge in Thunderbird. He also joined the 10KM SunPIOLOgy Sunlife Resolution Run in Camp Aguinaldo just earlier this year.
